Rugged smartphones are beginning to gain traction in the market and Chinese smartphone manufacturers seem to have channeled more of their production into this category as the EL S70 which comes with a rugged design and build has been clocked to be the thinnest rugged smartphone in the market.
The smartphone comes with a build which allows it withstand harsh weather conditions and of course, it comes a few days after the rugged CAT S41 was unveiled.
For specs, the EL S70 comes into the market sporting a 5.0-inch FHD display which is the same unit as employed on the CAT S41 device.
For comparison, the EL S70 comes into the market with a dimension measured at 145.9 x 75.9 x 9.5 mm as against the 152 x 75 x 12.85 mm measured on the CAT S41. Under the hood, the EL S70 which weighs 175 grams comes packing a 2,650 mAH battery with a dual rear camera setup on the rear panel comprising of a 13MP + 8MP sensor and an 8MP Sensor on the front panel.
The device comes running on the MediaTek MTK 6757 processor which comes at a speed of 2.5GHz paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage space which can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card.
The device comes into the market at a price of $249.99.
